Summary: API for specifying how much scrollback to receive in
                    chat rooms
           Product: Telepathy
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: tp-spec
        AssignedTo: telepathy-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: will.thompson at collabora.co.uk

On XMPP, when you join a room the server sends you a little bit of scrollback.
It turns out that it's possible to control how much you receive, as specified
at <http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0045.html#enter-managehistory>.

Perhaps we want an interface for this in the spec? It's pretty XMPP-specific. I
suppose in theory an IRC bouncer might support doing this kind of thing...
