I have an equivalent branch with more verbose commit messages, which you might
like to consider instead, though - in general, essays written in bugs will
never be read by a future maintainer, whereas commit messages and code comments
continue to be useful.

(Also, tp_clear_object() is a good way to make "if (o != NULL) g_object_unref
(o)" less verbose.)
