It's fine to propose patches, Logger is multi-storage friendly. Make sure those
backend has compilation option (--enable-xxx). Note that Logger is not a UI, so
you would need some Empathy work to configure your Network storage and make
those login information available to logger (you should consider using
gnome-keyring).

This seem something for Gnome Keyring or Telepathy Mission control project. The
Logger is there to store and provide communication history, not
account/password information.
