Hello,

Stef's been hacking on Salut, Wocky, Gabble, and various
certificate-related bits of Empathy. He's got 20 or so patches across
various components, and is generally a stellar individual. He is the
maintainer of the notorious gnome-keyring.

Today I proposed him for commit access on #telepathy, and Jonny seconded
him. So, hooray, unless anyone has any objections.

<http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/wiki/Committers>, based on the Webkit
policy, says that nominations etc. have to happen on the list. It also
actually says that two seconds are needed, and has vague language about
the motion carrying “within 5 business days unless someone objects”. I'm
going to amend the policy to be shorter, simpler, and more in line with
reality. I think the important points are that there should be a record
(on this mailing list for the sake of argument) of who vouches for whom,
and people should earn commit access through contributions rather than
being granted it out of the blue. Given that we have mandatory code
review I think the bar can be set quite low.

Happy post-Easter bank holiday Monday for those of you who have such a
concept and are taking advantage of it; and happy completely ordinary
Monday to others!
