[Telepathy] How to test telepathy without Client

All,

I'm currently working on enabling a Voice IP call and Instant Messaging on a platform. My constraint is to use SofiaSIP. I have install the sofiaSIP stack and the telepathy plugin for SofiaSIP.

My problem is that I need to test IM and VoIP. 

Is there any tests script which help to be client agnostic ?
Or
Is there any client application in top of telepathy-sofiaSIP without any dependencies on Gnome ?

I'm working on MeeGo handset solution but at this time no IM / voIP client has been delivered
