[Uim] uim-xim only works with japanese locale?

hi,

i am trying to use uim xim.

- i started uim-xim
- i exported the XMODIFIERS variable.

but it only works if i specify a japanese locale, for example
"ja_JP.UTF-8".

but my locale is "en_US.UTF-8", and i really don't want to change it.

is there any way to do it?
