This seems a weird problem... uim_helper_send_message and 
uim_helper_init_client_fd must be included in libuim. I can't guess 
what's wrong.

Did you use uim-trunk.tar.gz or uim-0.4.6beta2.tar.gz? Did you execute 
libtoolize? if you execed libtoolize, you may using old libtool.
