Good advice, thanks. Anything in particular? Have you filed actual bugs?
Anyway, not sure if you're aware, but Wayland is just a protocol. The
implementations themselves (Mutter for GNOME) are responsible for actual
display management, so the correct place to assign this bug would be to Mutter
(for using the cursor plane incorrectly), or to the kernel (for i915 handling
the cursor plane incorrectly; wouldn't really be the first time).
