<pre>It would be most instructive if you could capture both the wayland-level and
GTK+ level event streams, with
WAYLAND_DEBUG=1
and
GDK_DEBUG=events
(probably best separately, to not mix them up)
and see if the Control-Backspace event has its Control modifier stripped at
