wayland is build on KMS and EGL<br><br>Xegl doesn't require KMS but if you have KMS that will be fine.<br><br>wayland forces apps to use GL but Xegl translates every Xlib call to GL call.<br><br>wayland lost net work transparency, Xegl not.<br>
<br>wayland  is not compatible with X, while Xegl does.<br><br>.....<br><br>many many many ....<br><br>So why don't we improve Xegl rather than renivent the wheel?<br>
