Well,  as Jamey  explained,  it's not  really  possible to  use XML  for
that.  However, I didn't  use m4  a lot  as I  think it  becomes quickly
unreadable, thus not easily maintainable, but that's just my opinion ;).

As  EWMH becomes  more and  more  popular, I  hope these  atoms will  be
pre-defined like  ICCCM, as  it would mean  much less  code/requests. Is
there any plan  for that? (I guess  it's not at all a  priority for now,
but well, it would be much easier)
