Can you attach the code you've used, that returns NULL for
XCB_XKB_GBN_DETAIL_SERVER_SYMBOLS or XCB_XKB_GBN_DETAIL_CLIENT_SYMBOLS? It'd be
easier to diagnose the problem this way.
