It's great that you're thinking about this stuff. However I don't see
exactly how this is any different to just using standard DBUS interfaces
and signals.

Actually getting apps to work together requires agreements and specs, no
matter how you dress it up. That is something you can't get away from. So
whether it's a DBUS interface or a DAL interface doesn't seem to make much
difference. Meanwhile DBUS has some traction and DAL is just an idea.

So ... I'm not sure what it gets us. I'm a sceptic - tell me why I'm
wrong ;)
