desktop mimetype "glob"

Hello,

KDE has an easy way to glob for any (e.g.) files: create a desktop file
and use "ServiceTypes=all/allfiles" (or even "all/all").

What's the proper way of doing this for Gnome? I've tried using the
following in the desktop file:

MimeType:application/*;video/*;text/*;image/*; (etc), but this does not
work. Is the solution, for now, to really add ALL kinds of mimetypes?

Thank you,

N.L.
