Oops, I somehow missed the fact that you don't want to create a new contact 
application but just want to use one. I let me mislead by that D-Bus and 
desktop independent daemon stuff from the original mail. Ahem.

In that case, Pimlico sounds like the most appropriate that you'll get
right now.
