Beagle's GUI generates thumbnails only for search results, and it uses the GNOME mechanism to do this. I don't think it's a good idea for the crawlers themselves to do this; it seems like a waste of disk space, and many of the thumbnails will be outdated by the time they'd actually be displayed (in a search tool, the file manager, etc.).</blockquote><div> I agree with Joe in that  we should keep thumbnails out.
