Summary: New input driver for linux input devices (evdev)
           Product: xorg
           Version: CVS_head
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Input/other
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: krh at bitplanet.net

Attached is a new input driver for linux input devices. The linux kernel input
layer is a new generic interface to all kinds of input devices, and is the
canonical way of accessing input devices on linux. This driver is a generic
driver that works for keyboards and mice, and it should be possible to implement
touch screen support pretty easily too.

Also this driver has the unique feature that it is possible to use only one of
several attached keyboards, where the standard driver allways reads input from
all attached keyboards.
