Summary: Can't get lower resolutions than 1280x1024 and 1400x1050
                    on a ATI Mobility M4
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.7.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Driver/ATI Rage128
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: sen at flibuste.net

When i load Xorg on a slack 10, i can only get the hardware resolution of the
M4, which is 1400x1050. i tried to extend a bit HorizSync and VertRefresh and
get 1280x1024 in xrandr list but with a blurred display. I extend hsync/vrefresh
really more and finally get 800x600 and 1024x768 in xrandr list but when i
switch to it, the display is all messed up, a part of the screen is repeated at
the other side and anoter part is totally missing with a sort of "interference
effect". So lower res are unusable to display on a videoprojector or using 3d
app which need low res to work correctly.
Notice : i can only switch to another res than 1400x1050 in 24bit mode, in 16
bit mode, the screen become all black and i need to blindtype to restore 1400x1050.
