Summary: Horizontal lines or screen flicker with a high
                    resolution DVI display
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.7.0
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/3992.html
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: christer at weinigel.se

I'm seeing a lot of glitches when using a Radeon 9200 (RV280) or Radeon 9600
(RV350 AQ) card with a ViewSonic VP201b TFT monitor at 1600x1200x60Hz.
ATI has noted this as item #3992 in their infobase, and have added a workaround
to the Catalyst 02.3 Driver "Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays".

Is it possible to implement the same workaround in the Xorg radeon driver?

I've done a quick diff between the Fedora Core 2 source for xorg-x11-6.7.0-5
that I'm using and the head of the xorg CVS tree, and did not see any obvious
changes related to the DVI frequency. The new option "DynamicClocks" seem to
only affect the on-chip clocks and not the DVI frequency.

This bug may be related to bug #724.
