Juliusz Chroboczek had some objections to our patches, saying they didn't take
advantage of some of the primary features of the event interface, such as
checking the times of input etc. Anyhow, we got them from Debian; the author is
Zephaniah E. Hull <warp AT debian.org>.

I tried to find Juliusz's post about that, but the archives are a little
