I'm currently having troubles reproducing the rendering problem. It is the same
hardware, I just installled a SL9.3 beta on it, and everything (almost) seems
fine. I just got some very small rendering artifacts, but that occure with any
set of patches, and they could very well be gtk or general Xserver related.

I'll try a fresh install of 9.2 on this machine and test again.
