I'm only talking about applying solution #1, not both solutions.  All solution
#1 does is change tex_size in the R100 code path.  The changes to ATILog2 are
only used for the alternate solution #2, which does not currently work on HEAD
due to tiling.

BTW, I've already made a version of my patch that I am planning to apply to HEAD
this afternoon in attachment 2186.  It fixes the problems I've seen here and
Giacomo confirmed works for him as well on HEAD.
