           Summary: keyboard x86_64 problem
           Product: xorg
           Version: 6.8.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Input/Keyboard
        AssignedTo: xorg-bugzilla-noise at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: adderek at wp.pl

I have amd64 Athlon 64 2800+ (1800MHz) and mainboard ASUS k8v se deluxe.
Distro : gentoo
Kernel : 2.6.10-r6
xorg : 6.8.2
graphic card: xpertvision ati 9800se 256mb 128bit

problem description:
Keyboard is working fine until I run xorg.
When I enter "startx" (so this screen with xterm windows only will show up) I
can use my USB mouse but the keyboard doesn't work at all. Num-lock, caps-lock,
ctrl+alt+backspace... nothing works. When I use my mouse to kill main xterm
window (and xterm will exit afterwards) I am back into text console mode and
keyboard is back to normal (that is it is working fine).
I have used the same configuration as I used on my old computer (different
configuration) with xorg 6.8.1. And it changes nothing.
I tried to use "keyboard" and "kbd" driver.
After changing logging verbosity to maximum in the log I can see nothing wrong.
Every step seems to work just fine. There is no (EE).
