------- Additional Comments From mjl@luckie.org.nz 2005-01-19 17:03 -------
I have just tried the patch applied to CVS. My laptop is an IBM ThinkPad R50p
with an ATI FireGL Mobility T2 (M10) NT (AGP) found. I am running FreeBSD 5.3
and xorg 6.8.1.

I am using Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS, CRT" which allows the X server to start
when a monitor is attached, but the CRT does not seem to be functional,
according to the logs I've attached. Without this option, the laptop's LCD is
inactive, and the CRT says that the refresh rate 57.2kHz / 40 Hz is out of range.

I'm attaching 4 things:
1. my xorg.conf
2. Xorg.0.log with just the LCD without the MonitorLayout Option
3. Xorg.0.log with the CRT plugged in without the MonitorLayout Option
4. Xorg.0.log with the CRT plugged in with the MonitorLayout Option

the next thing I'm going to try is the current 6.8.2 CVS code for the radeon to
see if i have anymore luck there.
