I should know because I'm written in the wrong way often as well. How embarrassing.

Actually I would opt for changing the driver in 6.8.2. This seems to be stable
and I'm not really happy with my workaround either.
Having glitches w/ DRI disabled (but RenderAccel enabled, strange combination)
is not too problematic I think, so changing this code path can be something for
