X doesn't fill the whole screen

Also, the current debian packages use the read-edid package to check for
the monitor's modelines, but they don't require this package to be
installed. So unless you had it installed, the package would use a
pre-defined set of modelines. This is a known issue, and the
debian-installer works around it if you install the desktop task, but I
don't plan to fix it until well after etch ships.
