Because we don't really have any good mechanisms for making sure bug
reports get dealt with - it's mostly down to hoping someone sees it
who is interested in it and wants to work on it.   That's something
we'll need to figure out how to deal with better as we grow.

(Sorry, but that's the best answer I can give - I don't know enough
  about the specific devices to comment on the bug itself.)
