Sounds nice, I hope Ben has a chance to do it sometime this year, he 
always takes on too much stuff. :)

The only platform I know of with this capability is the Altix, and it 
implements the VGA memory space on a per-bus basis as well, so all 
cards, good and bad, can be posted in parallel if someone feels so 
inclined.  Too bad all platforms aren't that easy (though of course one 
still has to deal with multiple cards per bus somehow).
