Radeon Tv-in with 6.8.2

I succesfully used tv-in with 6.8.1 (or older) in the past using gatos or
the dri snapshots.

I have a radeon 8500 VIVO.
Now I just reinstalled my slack 10.1 with x.org 6.8.2.
Launching glxgears I see that 3d acceleration is working.
I downloaded avview (I tryed both 0.80.6 and CVS), it compiles fine, but
when I run it says that it is my first installation and asks to reconfigure,
I click ok then it closes. in the console I see this:

If instead I try to install this: radeon-20050313-linux.i386.tar.bz2
avview does no more close but show nothing and 3d acceleration stop working,
I get:

I have searched around in internet, but found nothig.
Someone can please help me to solve this?
