I just opened with 
patch to implement accelerated indirect rendering.  It applies to Ians 
AIR branch and is still very much work in progress.  The best way to try 
it out is to run just a single glx client against the server, since 
other clients, WMs and just moving the mouse crash the server.

I'll be updating the patch, but I just wanted to put a snapshot out of 
the work so far.
