thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. But I have some
> You may want to use something like :
> Xdmx :2 +xinerama -fp "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc" -display 192.168.0.1:0
> -display 192.168.0.2:0
I compiled it on my pc as described on the homepage (download, copy host.def,
But I have some problems to start xdmx:
My PC has the IP 10.33.33.2 and the monitor's location is right from the
laptop with the IP 10.33.33.1.
X (KDE) is running on both machines, I'm logged in on both machines.
I'm using the following command on my PC:
./Xdmx :1 +xinerama -display 10.33.33.1:0 -display 10.33.33.2:0
(or ./Xdmx :1 +xinerama -display 10.33.33.1:0 -display :0, this works the same
I get the following output:
_XSERVTransSocketOpenCOTSServer: Unable to open socket for inet6
_XSERVTransOpen: transport open failed for inet6/moon:1
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to open listener for inet6

Some IPv6 warnings that can be ignored, I guess. (I don't use IPv6).
Then dmx successfully uses my PC's X but it cannot connect to the laptop.
Do I need to change the default X configuration on the laptop? The
dmx-documentation doesn't seem to claim that; I cannot find information on
the dmx-page for client-configuration.
Do I have to configure the laptop to accept network access or Do I have to
configure it like a X-terminal that connects to my PC?
(I don't like the second idea)
btw: I disabled all firewall-rules on the laptop, so it must be some X-stuff
Thanks in advance,
