Urgent---error in startx for X11R6.8.2 for ARM target with MVL as OS

Hi All,
  I am working on ARM processor and the OS is Montavista(MVL).I have
cross compiled X11R6.8.2 on FC5 kernel 2.6.15...After successfull
crosscompiling i installed the same....Later i copied this output
files and folder to the target.(ARM processor with MVL as OS)
I started executing startx and m getting the following error.

Couldnt get a file descriptor referring to the console
