__GLX_ALIGN64 variable gone missing?

Hi,

While investigating a recent problem with Xvfb in Debian's sparc port [0],
I came to the conclusion that during the switch from the old build system to
the new autotools-based one, the logic which was setting the __GLX_ALIGN64
variable on some platforms was dropped. AFAICT, it used to be set in sparc,
sparc64, ia64, amd64, s390x and alpha (at least, according to the file
xorg-cf-files/xorg.cf from the xutils-dev package). However, in the new build
system this setting is nowhere to be found. Not setting this variable on the
platforms with strict alignment requirements can definitely lead to crashes
like the one mentioned in the bug.

I'd appreciate any comments and would be glad to test out any proposed solutions.
