I've already tried modelines for the resolutions and refresh rates I'd like to force, to no effect however. I've used `gtf` up until now to generate them, hope this is still OK?

Btw, I just noticed the manpage of my drivers says the Option we're talking about when disabling EDID is called "DDC", not "NoDDC". Just wanted to point that out. :)
