I don't have anything that I could apply directly to the existing SMI driver. 
I might take a try at that later on, but currently I'm busy with other 
things.

However I could check if I could publish the code that I already have for 
others to see. I've been modifying EXA/SMI to be used with Kdrive on an 
embedded system.

However I have to okay this with my boss, just to be on safe side. From 
legal/license view point it is quite clear case but I wouldn't like to risk 
my job on it. :|
