Very low 3d performance of my 945GM intel card :-/

Hello,

I recently bought a centrino powered notebook with a 945GM GPU.
I don't expect very high opengl performance but as far as I know
friends with the same hardware are able to play not-that-bad games
like Halo on Windows.

I am using FC6 and I've a hard time to get quake3 run at decent speed
at 1280x800. Any idea what could be wrong? I already set VideoRAM in
xorg.conf to 65536.

Should I better ask this question at the DRI's mailing lists?

Thank you in advance, lg Clemens
