Xorg 1.1.1 + Mesa 6.5.2 = White screens with i810 driver and beryl/compiz

Hmm, interesting. Sounds like it could be related. The patchs show a
clear error from compiz and beryl if they are not applied so that should
be a clear indication of what's wrong.

I'm not convinced that git heads of both will work, but it's defo worth
a try judging by your tests.

I presume that you are using the o/s driver not the ATI one?
