Radeon 7000 and DRI = freeze. Bug?

What's the package version? Looks like it may only be based on
xf86-video-ati 6.6.2, which lacks a DRI stability fix for Radeon 7000s.
Have you reported this to Ubuntu?

Does changing this to 1x in xorg.conf and maybe also in the BIOS setup
make a difference?
