This fixed the issue for me. Second question: How can I disable LVDS by
default, but still have the ability to enable it from xrandr? When I
tried the "Disable" option, xrandr wouldn't do anything but complain
about how LVDS didn't have any modes. When I tried the "Ignore" option,
xrandr no longer sees LVDS. I am using xserver 1.3.0.0, btw.

Thanks
