hi, a user who owns an ATI 9200 posted the following output of xrandr:

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 2048 x 2048
VGA-0 connected (normal left inverted right)
   1280x1024 75.0 + 76.0 75.0 71.9 59.9
   1280x960 59.9
   1152x864 75.0 74.8
   1024x768 75.1 70.1 60.0
   832x624 74.6
   800x600 72.2 75.0 60.3
   640x480 75.0 72.8 66.7 60.0
   720x400 70.1
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 0mm x 0mm
   1280x800 59.9*+ 60.0
   1280x768 60.0
   1024x768 60.0
   800x600 60.3
   640x480 59.9
S-video disconnected (normal left inverted right)

"xrandr -v" says that:
Server reports RandR version 1.2

Is it normal that xrandr reports "VGA-0" instead of just "VGA" and
"S-video" instead of "TV"? (my Intel card uses these names: VGA, LVDS,
TV, TMDS-1)

I would like to know the name schemes which randr 1.2 uses (and whether
this varies according to the driver you use, e.g ATI or Intel).

I need to know such schemes for the application I am developing.

Thanks in advance

Alberto
