LCD is flickering, intel driver ignoring modeline? getting headache...

Yes.
It is like looking at a CRT at 60Hz... on white and black it is not that
noticeable.. really annoying and noticeable is it in green and gray
areas... (like this mail-clients borders and menues or xfreecells
background)

there is no difference between xrandr -r 30, 60 and 75...
it does performe the modechange but the flickering is still there... 

for the record: i'm using an fujitsu siemens lifebook e4010
