Yes. Anything pre-r300 has good 2D and 3D support. The 3D support for 
r300 and r400 was reverse engineered, and is less than ideal as a result 
- however, r500 shares a very similar 3D engine, and so the doc releases 
should help improve r300 and r400. r500 is the first chipset where we 
have no acceleration support right now.
