intel driver: are rotation + DRI incompatible?

I have thinkpad x61 tablet with a 965gm video adapter. I'm using Ubuntu
Gutsy's x server (version 1.3.0, intel driver 2.1.1, xrandr 1.2), under
Feisty. Everything is 64 bit.

I have to disable DRI, with this line:

Option "DRI" "false"

in my display section, or xrandr corrupts the screen when I tell it to
rotate the display. Rotating the display back to 'normal' restores the
picture.

Here's my device section:

Section "Device"
         Identifier "Generic Video Card"
         Driver "intel"
         BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
EndSection

I've tried changing adding the following options, one at a time, but it
didn't help:

"TripleBuffer" "True", "AccelMethod" "EXA"

Turning on page flipping produced an unusable display.

Thanks,
Rusty
