Try just reassigning the hotkey in the gnome hotkey settings. Clear the hotkey 
for print and then later set it to the print key again. It helped for me but 
I have no idea what's wrong with gnome here. It listed "print" before, still 
it reacted to the up-key instead of the print screen key.
