ATI X2400 with quad displays

Hello all,
  I was talking with one of our sysadmins here at work about graphics cards, and he mentioned
having problems with the ATI X2400 cards and quad displays under linux.  He was able to run
google earth with 2 displays, but adding the 3rd caused things to have problems.  He wasn't able
to find much when he googled the issue, so I figured I'd ask here for help.
