Alan created gallium-0.1-dri2 because there were some issues with merging back 
DRI2 changes into the Gallium3D tree, so to not disrupt the flow of others 
he's fixing the issues in that branch. The official branch of Gallium3D was 
and is gallium-0.1.

To build Gallium3D one can use the old style static configs or scons. To use 
scons one would do:
scons /path/to/source/tree debug=1
or such, with old style configs make linux-debug/linux-x86/linux-dri etc work.
