RandR - Multi-GPU Compositing

Hello,

Could someone direct me to information about RandR?
overall status, etc.
wiki page would be great - but there seems to be precious little info on
the x.org site

I'm interested in compositing & general acceleration across multiple
GPU's.  I understand this was scheduled for xRandR 1.3 but was dropped

I'm wondered if this was the relevant list or whether there's a specific
list for RandR
