You should be aware that about 4MB of memory is needed to decompress
files compressed with "bzip2 -9".  I don't think that this is a
problem for your particular application, more just pointing out
why other websites often provide .gz and .bz2 files (and yes, it's
partly historical as it's only in the past few years that 4MB
has sounded "small").
