Hi Craig,

These files are not blank. They have the gradients inside them using the
SVG <def /> tag. Thus, if you open them in a proper SVG viewer/editor,
like Inkscape (www.inkscape.org), then you will be able to use these
gradients as a fill or stroke gradients.

Does that make sense?
