Hi Roland,

1) Yes, the XST part of STSF will be included in the monolithic tree
(xorg)
I have already tagged the branch STSF_CURRENT of /cvs/xorg

We are compiling the tree as I type this message and will commit it
as soon as the compile is successful.

2) Right now the build process is as follows:

    - you need to check out two modules:
		xc from /cvs/xorg
		stsf from /cvs/stsf

	% cd stsf
	% configure; make; make install

	% cd ../xc
	% make World

You need to have Python, PyXML and freetype installed on your system
to compile STSF and the XST tree

We are testing the build on Solaris x86 right now, (available for free
	from http://wwws.sun.com/software/solaris/x86/index.html)

XST should compile on Linux without any problems, however I need
to make a couple of changes to STSF since I have not
compiled it on Linux for a long time and ST Font Server got
significantly
	optimized.

Solaris version of the ST Font Server uses Solaris doors, which are
extremely
fast but not available (yet) for Linux. Linux version of the server
uses UNIX domain sockets and I am planning to re-write it to use
shared memory,
	Posix mutexes and conditional variables.
